Community Guidelines

At Recess, we are committed to creating welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable experiences where people can connect authentically and safely. By attending our events, participating in our community, or engaging with our platforms, all participants agree to uphold the following standards of behavior.
 
1.  Be Respectful
Treat all guests, hosts, venue staff, and community members with kindness and respect. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, bullying, or unwanted attention of any kind will not be tolerated.
This includes behavior based on:

• Gender

• Sexual orientation

• Race or ethnicity

• Religion

• Disability

• Age

• Appearance

• Relationship status

• Identity or background
   

2. Consent Matters
Respect personal boundaries at all times.

• No unwanted touching, persistent advances, or inappropriate comments.

• “No” is a complete answer.

• Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

We encourage positive, genuine interaction rooted in mutual comfort and respect.
 
3. Foster an Inclusive Environment
Recess exists to build meaningful community. We want participants to contribute positively to the atmosphere by:

• Being welcoming to newcomers

• Avoiding exclusionary behavior

• Engaging in good sportsmanship during games and activities

• Supporting a fun and social environment for everyone
   

4. Responsible Conduct
Guests are expected to act responsibly during events.

• Excessive intoxication, aggressive behavior, or disruptive conduct may result in removal from the event.

• Illegal substances or unlawful behavior are strictly prohibited.

• Respect all venue rules and staff instructions.
   

5. Privacy & Social Media
We love sharing memorable moments, but we also respect privacy.

• Please ask permission before posting identifiable photos or videos of others.

• Do not share private personal information about attendees without consent.

• Recess reserves the right to photograph or film events for promotional purposes.
   

6. Safety First
If you witness behavior that makes you or others uncomfortable, please notify a Recess host or staff member immediately. We take concerns seriously and will respond appropriately and confidentially whenever possible.
 
7. Enforcement
Recess reserves the right to:

• Remove any participant from an event without refund

• Deny future participation

• Take appropriate action to protect the safety and integrity of the community

Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in suspension or permanent removal from Recess events and platforms.
